Horizon Training

Everyone has the ability and the right to learn, develop and achieve.

Find Your Direction. Build Your Future.

At Horizon Training, we provide alternative provision for children and young people who may benefit from a different approach to education.

We believe every young person has the potential to achieve great things. Our supportive, practical learning environment gives learners the opportunity to develop confidence, independence and valuable skills through vocational training, real-world experiences and personal development.

Working in partnership with schools, families and other professionals, we help young people experience success, recognise their strengths and take positive steps towards their future.

Our programmes are designed around the needs of each learner. We meet young people where they are and support them to make progress, develop resilience and build the skills they need for whatever comes next.

Plynlimon Trust

Horizon Training is provided by the Plynlimon Trust, a local charitable organisation with a long history of creating opportunities and supporting people across our communities.

Founded in 1986, the Trust runs a range of projects designed to respond to local needs- from education, training and apprenticeships through Horizon Training, to community transport through Dial-a-Ride, which has been helping people stay connected for more than 30 years.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: everyone should have the opportunity to live a full and active life, contribute to their community and reach their potential. We work alongside local partners to create practical opportunities, overcome barriers and help people take their next steps.

Local people. Practical support. Real opportunities.

Keeping people connected to their communities.

Plynlimon Trust's Dial-a-Ride service provides accessible community transport for people who may find it difficult to use ordinary public transport. Our specially adapted minibuses help passengers get out and about, stay connected and access the places and services that matter to them.

For more than 30 years, Dial-a-Ride has been supporting people across our local communities, providing around 11,500 passenger journeys every year.

Whether it's getting to an appointment, doing the weekly shop, meeting friends or simply getting out and about, Dial-a-Ride helps make independent travel possible.

Accessible transport. Friendly service. A connection to your community.
